PANAJI: JSA Communications, represented by star India players Arjun Ghosh, Sourav Saha, Surojit Das and Moumita Datta, won 5 matches on the trot to storm their way into the Super 6 stage, on day two of the All-India Invitational MSC Cup 2022, organised by Miramar Sports Club in collaboration with the Sports Authority of Goa, at Peddem-Mapusa. Joining them there in the Open Team championship from Group A were Silent Warriors who won 4 matches. Aadi Chitnis, Kaustub Udar and Jayesh Kulkarni played well for the Silent Warriors Team.
Swarnedu Chaudhary, Ali MD, Arindam Debnath and Sai Prashant were impressive for Team AVSC in their showdown against Duarte Warriors who they beat 3-0 to emerge atop Group B with 5 wins. Duarte Warriors, represented by Noel Noronha, Dheeraj Rai , Manish Yadav and Joseph Duarte had to settle for the runners-up place in Group B with 4 wins.
In Group C, Accolades Table Tennis Academy and PSC qualified for the Super 6 with 5 and 4 wins in their league matches respectively. Rakshit Barigdad, Dinakar, Nikhil and Gagan were in scintillating form for Accolades Team while Goan paddlers Yusuf Shaikh, Prutha Parrikar, Shawn Soares and Khushal Naik battled hard to lead their team PSC into the Super 6 stage.
Out of 18 teams in the Open championship, 6 teams qualified in the Super 6, where each team will play the other once. Top 2 teams will qualify for the finals.
