Goa welcomed nine new Chartered Accountants to its fold as the results of the CA Final exams conducted in November 2022, have been announced all over India, states a press release by Goa branch of ICAI.
Amba Patki, Ameya Audi, Arantxa Mascarenhas, Jaee Ramani, Jeetesh Haldaonkar, Nimisha Tailor, Prerna Phadke, Sanket Singbal and Sarvesh Marathe have been successful in the CA Final exams.
Chairperson of Goa branch of ICAI, CA Thomas Andrade hailed the result as ‘very positive’. “This is a very positive outcome for the state of Goa that so many students have qualified as Chartered Accountants from the state of Goa, in one attempt, since we know that the CA exams are normally very tough,” he said.
Vice-Chaiperson of Goa Branch, CA Milind Shirodkar said: ” We are glad to see that the newly qualified CAs are from all parts of Goa. We hope that this will inspire local youth from across Goa to take up this profession”
WICASA Chairpersn of Goa Branch, CA Vishwanath Bhobe congratulated the successful candidates and emphasised on the affordability of the courses. “While some of the newly qualified CAs have parents from accounts/tax field, many have come from very humble backgrounds. CA course is one of the most affordable courses today across India.”
Secretary of Goa Branch, CA Vinayak Dhumatkar supplements the point, adding: “Not only is the course affordable, students get stipend while learning at CA’s offices for three years, so they earn while they learn. The stipend too is now going to be doubled as per the revised proposed scheme.”
Treasurer of Goa Branch, CA Vaibhav Bale shed light on the demand-supply ratio, saying: “Currently we are seeing huge demand and less supply for CAs in Goa. We have seen several private employers struggle to find CAs for their companies. These nine new CAs will be able to take advantage of this situation.”
