Indian para-archers scripted three World Records at the Pilsen World Para-Archery Championship 2023 in Czech Republic.
Sheetal Devi, world’s first arm-less archer, Sarita and Rakesh created history as India bagged three World Record feats in para-archery for the first time.
In the Compound Women Open Doubles event, Sheetal Devi (689) and Sarita (697) shot a total of 1386 to eclipse the previous World Record for 50 metres round of 1385. Sarita also topped the Compound Women Open with a total of 697 points.
The Indian team of Sarita (697) and Rakesh Kumar (701) stole the thunder in the Compound Open Mixed Team event with a world record tally of 1398 points, leaving the old world record 1395 behind.
