The government of Goa launched Artificial Intelligence Driven Security, Integrated Traffic Management & eChallan System on Wednesday.
Bengaluru-based Beltech AI, known for their AI and IoT technology, has provided this AI Driven Integrated Traffic Management Traffic Management System at no cost to the Goa government, revealed Chief Minister, Dr Pramod Sawant. He also added that this technology will be useful for police to track the culprits.
Here are the key benefits of using AI in traffic management:
•Reduction in total wait time at signals is said to be 42 per cent as the traffic flow is optimised by reducing congestion. Emergency/VIP vehicles get an automatic green-corridor.
•Automatically detects traffic violations and
violation proof and payment link is sent automatically to violator’s mobile phone.
•AI-driven Challan Collection App for authorities to ease challan collection
•Reduction in Toxic Emissions
•Live location of vehicles with unpaid traffic violations near the authorities
•Suspicious people detection
