Global Astronomy Month is observed worldwide in April and Association of Friends of Astronomy (Goa) will mark the event with month-long activities from 6th April to 11th May.
Sky observation sessions, Science lectures, film screenings, workshops, competitions, field trips, will be held during the said period.
Every Monday will be observed as Earth Science Day, every Tuesday and Friday will be Space Science day, every Wednesday is Ideation day, Thursdays are reserved as Life Skills Days and Saturday will be observed as Technology day; at the Panjim observatory during this period.
Entry for the programmes, is open for general public.
The annual 5-week vacation Space camp of the observatory will coincide with Global Astronomy Month and the registration for all age-groups is already on at the Panjim observatory. More details are available on Association of Friends of Astronomy’s website.
