Goan athletes with disabilities took part in the 2km open run on the sidelines of the inaugural National Red Run 2023 finale at Bambolim on Sunday morning.
The ‘Wheelchair Category’ included participants – Vishant Nagvekar, Gauresh Marathe and Stany D’souza, while the ‘Standing Category’ comprised Sripad Pai Bir, Ritesh Vaigankar, Chandrakant Gaude and Melvin Mendes.
Despite lack of desired support, the athletes with disabilities demonstrated their dedication in raising awareness about societal accessibility and HIV/AIDS.
The event served as a powerful reminder that inclusion knows no boundaries, and it is a vital aspect of creating a more equitable and accepting society.
