Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has revealed that 1693 Self-Help Group (SHG) members have been supported through Community Enterprise Funds (CEF). He also advised that the SHGs can enhance their operations in Community Farming, Poultry Farming and other such sectors availing the schemes initiated by the Union and the State Government.
“I am pleased to meet and interact with Women Entrepreneurs of the Start-Village Entrepreneurship Programme in presence of Rural Development, Minister Shri @Govind_Gaude and others. I am glad to note that under SVEP, 1693 SHG members have been supported through Community Enterprise Funds (CEF),” posted the Chief Minister on his social media.
Dr Sawant appealed to the women entrepreneurs SHGs to produce at least 50% of the items required in the state, contribute to Swayampurna Goa vision and enhance their incomes.
“It is a pleasure to listen to the entrepreneurial journey. The Govt of Goa is committed to extend all the support under Goa State Rural Livelihood Mission, Start Up Village Entrepreneurship Program, Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana and walk towards creating a record number of Lakhpati Didis in the state,” added the Chief Minister in his post on X.
