Chief Minister, Dr Pramod Sawant has hailed Goa Shipyard Limited’s (GSL) contribution to various projects that help the society.
The Chief Minister, who inaugurated the renovated infrastructure of Rajnikant Kenkre Memorial Government School, Vasco; revealed that Goa Shipyard had spent “approximately Rs 80-90 Lakh” on the renovation of the school building via the Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.
Dr Sawant emphasised GSL’s support to various causes not just in Vasco but beyond Mormugao as well, especially during the Covid times. He also suggested to GSL to initiate short-term courses, which could be handy for youngsters to get skilled.
Dr Sawant noted that teachers at the renovated school are happy as well, and that he expects the number of students coming to school to rise in the near future.
