Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant launched the Mhaji Bus Scheme 2025 and Fuel and Insurance Subsidy Drive for Bicholim and Sattari talukas. Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho and KTCL Chairman Ulhas Tuenkar were also present for the programme at Ravindra Bhavan, Sankhali.
The key benefits of Mhaji Bus Scheme 2025 Rs. 3 per km operational subsidy (Rs. 2.2L/year extra income per bus), Rs.10L one-time grant to replace old buses, 50% insurance premium reimbursement,
free ticketing machines & KTCL smart card support, real-time tracking via “Bus On The Go” app, direct fare collection by operators, government Ad revenue & branding support to bus owners.
