Minister for Environment, Aleixo Sequeira inaugurated the 10th edition of CII Goa Conference on Logistics on the theme “Creating Synergies to Catalyze the Next Wave of Sustainable Growth of Logistics Sector in Goa”, in Panaji.
The Letter of Intent to Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), and Goa Institute of Management (GIM) for Centre of Excellence (CoE) on Logistics were handed over to the Government of Goa, on the occasion.
Industries Minister, Mauvin Godinho; Secretary (Industries), Swetika Sachan, IAS; Chairman, CII Goa State Council, Brajesh Kumar Upadhyay; Chairperson, Confederation of Indian Industry, Swati Salgaocar; Chairman Mormugao Port Authority, Dr. N. Vinod Kumar, IPoS; were also present.
The Industries Minister revealed that the discussions today highlighted the importance of improving connectivity, reducing costs, and fostering innovation in supply chains to drive economic growth.
Godinho believes Goa’s strategic location and growing infrastructure, gives the state the “potential to become a key logistics hub for the region.”
“Together, we are committed to building a robust logistics ecosystem that will benefit not just Goa, but the entire nation,” he added.
