Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant virtually inaugurated the Daikin Centre of Excellence at ITI Farmagudi under the Skill India Mission, on Wednesday.
Kanwaljeet Jawa, Chairman & Managing Director of Daikin Airconditioning India, S. S. Gaonkar, Director of Skill Development, were also present.
The Chief Minister urged the youth to take up various Skill-based courses at the upgraded ITIs where double certification will also be achievable in order to provide a cutting edge in the job market or in the journey of entrepreneurship in view of Viksit Bharat Viksit Goa goal.
Jawa asserted that the Goa youth will be equipped with specialised skills not only to support local economy but also open doors to national and global career opportunities.
