PANAJI: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) in association with Dempo Sports Club and Goa Football Association (GFA) have conducted & completed the AIFF E Certificate Tutor Course at the Dempo Sports Club Academy Complex at Ella – Old Goa. The course began on 15 March and concluded on 20 March with a total of 22 student coaches participating from all across the country.
Led by Anju Turambekar, Technical Director-Dempo SC, Former AIFF Head of Grassroots & Grassroots Panel Technical Head; and overseen by Savio Medeira, Head of Coach Education, AIFF. The 6-day course also had in attendance lead AIFF tutors, namely, Shekhar Kerkar, Shailesh Karkera, Suhel Nair, Prashant J Singh, and Deepak CM.
The course consisted of theory and practical session, with the first day being delivered by Turambekar and the subsequent days being delivered by the participants, based on various topics for their assessment.
With the AIFF having a keen focus on grassroots development and aiming to educate coaches across the nation, this course was designed to provide insights on the holistic approach to grassroots development as well as first-hand experience on the field off how to conduct these training sessions.
Speaking about the E Certificate Tutor Course, Turambekar said: “Our vision is to upskill and enable new tutors to deliver the AIFF E certificate course in a phased and systematic manner to a diverse range of participants. It was an incredible learning experience educating 22 student coaches from all across the country and look forward to amplifying the reach of our efforts.
