Social Welfare Minister, Subhash Phal Dessai inaugurated Assessment Camp at Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav Mandal, Rivona, Sanguem, organised by Department for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of Goa, in collaboration with the Office of the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities and the Directorate of Planning, Statistics and Evaluation in association with ALIMCO (a Government of India undertaking).
Phal Dessai handed over wheelchair-accessible e-rickshaws to the beneficiary. The aim of the camp is to identify eligible Divyangjan (PwDs) for free distribution of aids and appliances under the ADIP Scheme as part of Swayampurna Goa 2.0 and Inclusive Goa initiatives.
State Commissioner for Person with Disabilities, Guruprasad Pawaskar, Secretary, State Commissioner for Person with Disabilities, Taha Haaziq, Director, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Goa, Varsha Naik and others were also present.
