Pratik P. Naik Borkar, Komal Kothari, Priyansh Sawant Dessai and Saachi Sinai Kenkre emerged as the star performers by clinching double crowns at the All Goa Open (U-11 & U-13) Badminton Tournament, organised by Salcete Badminton Club under the aegis of the Goa Badminton Association, and powered by Model Margao, an initiative of Yogiraj Digambar Kamat, at Manohar Parrikar Indoor Stadium, Navelim.
Saachi won the Girls’ Singles and partnered Yashika Koneru to capture the Girls’ Doubles U-11 title, while Pratik claimed the Boys’ Singles and teamed up with Varun Sahakari to win the Boys’ Doubles U-13 crown. Komal lifted the Girls’ Singles U-13 title before joining Ashbah Tahasildar to triumph in the Girls’ Doubles.
In other finals, Priyansh Sawant Dessai won the Boys’ Singles U-11 title with a victory over Aariketh Chari and later teamed up with Mahipal Sinh Parmar to win the Boys’ Doubles U-11 event.
The runners-up in the remaining categories were Oorvi Khyalia (Girls’ Singles U-11), Vedh Lotliker (Boys’ Singles U-13), Ashbah Tahasildar (Girls’ Singles U-13), Aariketh Chari and Sambhav Bhardwaj (Boys’ Doubles U-11), Ayansh Sanke and Mihir Chafadkar (Boys’ Doubles U-13), Oorvi Khyalia and Samaira Velip (Girls’ Doubles U-11), and Nishka Gauns Dessai and Tirtha Shetkar (Girls’ Doubles U-13).
