ENABLE INDIA: TO EMPOWER PwDs, ‘MANTHAN’ WORKSHOP HELD

The Office of the State Commission for Persons with Disabilities in collaboration with Enable India successfully organised a transformative workshop, titled “Manthan – a workshop for torchbearers of disability,” states a press release.

The event took place at the Manohar Parrikar Hall at Sanjay Centre for Special Education, Porvorim.

The distinguished guests at the event included Guruprasad Pawaskar, State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Taha Haaziq, Secretary of the Office in the State Commission for Persons with Disabilities and Shanti Raghavan, esteemed Founder of Enable India. The workshop also received support from notable figures such as Anirudh Dempo, President of Goa State Industries Association; Mayuresh Khaunte, President of Young Indian and Sanjay Amonkar, representing the Goa Chamber of Commerce.

The collaboration between The Office of the State Commission for Persons with Disabilities and Enable India represents a significant step toward realising a more accessible and equitable future for all. By bringing together key stakeholders and thought leaders, “Manthan” has set a powerful precedent for driving positive change in the field of disability rights and empowerment.

Guruprasad Pawaskar, State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities stated: Manthan” addressed critical topics relevant to PwDs, as well as those working tirelessly for their upliftment. The workshop’s dynamic discussions, interactive sessions and expert-led panels contributed to a profound exchange of ideas and strategies for fostering an inclusive society”.

This workshop was designed with a commitment to empowering Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and individuals dedicated to their welfare. “Manthan” served as a platform for invaluable knowledge sharing, fostering connections, and promoting the cause of inclusivity.
