PANAJI: Goa Amateur Boxing Association’s exposure initiatives have started to bring in encouraging results. In one of such ‘Fight Night’ trip to IIS-JSW Bellary recently, Goan boxers Suman Yadav and Pushpender registered victory in their respective bouts.
Whilst Suman and Pushpender won; Tanisha, Priti and Shreesha lost narrowly in well contested bouts against strong opponents from Inspire Institute of Sports where the Goa team was invited, states a press communique.
Goa’s coaches Santosh Birmole, Chitamber Naik and Velanky Dumaskar said that they were quite satisfied with the result. “National Games and Senior National Championships are still a month away and we will do nescessary improvements in our boxers,” said the coaches.
It will be the turn of IIS- JSW Karnataka to visit Goa soon as they have been invited for a Juniors/Youth/Seniors Fight Night in September.

48 kg Women – Kalaivani(IIS) defeated Tanisha (GOA) 3:0
50 kg Women – Suman (GOA) Won vs Ragini (IIS) 2:1
52 kg Women – Anchal(IIS) defeated Priti (GOA) 3:0
70 kg Women – Sohini (IIS) won vs Shreesha (GOA) 3:0
75 kg Men – Pushpender (GOA) won vs Dinesh Dagar(IIS) 2:1
