FOUNDERS CLUB DELIBERATES ON STRATEGIES FOR ‘FIRST 100 CUSTOMERS’

The highly-anticipated ‘Founders Club Meet’ recently hosted its third episode, uniting entrepreneurs and startup enthusiasts in a quest to explore strategies for “Building Your Customer Base – The First 100.”

Organised by the Startup & IT Promotion Cell – Goa, the event received unwavering support from various startup stakeholders, with active collaboration from the Goa Technology Association for this edition.

This engaging event witnessed the convergence of dynamic founders from diverse fields, who shared their invaluable insights into customer acquisition strategies. The thought-provoking panel discussion was moderated by Milind Anvekar, Senior Vice-President at Open Destinations. The esteemed panelists included Ashwami Rawat, Co-founder of Transerve Technologies, Sachin Rane, Founder of Namaste Chai, Prasad Sawant, CEO of Buoyancy Consultants, Amit Tamba, CTO of Freethink LLP, and Dr. Kapil Khandeparker, a faculty at the Goa Institute of Management. Before diving into the panel discussions, Dr. Kapil set the stage with a captivating case study.

During the event, Rawat shared his valuable insights, stating, “Strategically allocating your financial resources for promotional activities, and patiently waiting for investor funding to scale those efforts, is a prudent approach. However, it is paramount to underscore the significance of directing your funds toward research and development, as each investment in R&D represents a well-justified expenditure.” His words resonated with the eager audience.

With over 100 attendees, primarily composed of startups, students, professionals, faculty, and key startup stakeholders, this event underlines its pivotal role in fostering the growth of the startup community in Goa. Sachin Rane, a serial entrepreneur known for transforming bootstrapped companies into multi-million-dollar successes and establishing Namaste Chai as a household name for tea lovers, added, “(to be added).” His success story is truly an inspiration to many in the startup ecosystem.

D. S. Prashant, CEO of the Startup & IT Promotion Cell – Goa, expressed the organisation’s commitment to nurturing and supporting the startup ecosystem. He emphasised the importance of collaborative efforts, stating, “We are keen to partner, collaborate, and support the startup space, but this journey cannot be led alone.” His message served as a rallying call to all stakeholders to take the lead in startup initiatives.
