PORVORIM: Goa Cricket Association’s (GCA) managing committee election will be held on Thursday, October 27, and the pre-poll activities are gathering steam. The current GCA secretary Vipul Phadke, who will vie for the President’s post, today declared his panel for the elections. Out of his men for the mission, Rohan Dessai has been elected unopposed as the secretary for 2022-25 term, revealed Vipul. The others contesting for the posts of Vice-President, Joint-Secretary and Treasurer are Anant Naik, Jamir Carol, and Saibar Mulla respectively. A candidate for the member’s post is yet to be declared. A total of 107 clubs are eligible for voting at the upcoming polls and Vipul feels confident of having a backing of 80 percent of the clubs.
