PANAJI: Singh Sports Ventures will organise the first edition of Goa Beach Soccer ‘Grassroots Festival’ under the aegis of Goa Football Association, on December 19 at Miramar and on December 20 at Calangute beach. This is the first time in the history of beach football in Goa that a structured approach is being adopted with youth development being the focus of GFA to develop the potential in beach football format.
The roadmap has been charted out as per the Asian Football Confederation and All India Football Federation’s Beach Soccer guidelines.
The grassroots festival is open for player in the 8 to 12 years age-group. The format will be split into two events – 4 vs. 4 & 5 vs. 5 – with individual players getting points for their performance. The events will be conducted from 4 to 6 PM at each of the venues.
