Goa’s Mohit Redkar has been selected for High Performance Camp for Emerging Players 2023 to be conducted at NCA-Bangalore from August 17 to September 5.
The young off-spinner from Margao made an impressive debut in Ranji Trophy in the 2022-23 season, bagging 19 wickets in 7 matches. Mohit notched up two fifers, one each against Rajasthan and Kerala. The 22-year-old also showed his potential with the bat as he scored 238 runs in 7 matches at an average of 26.44.
Mohit, who becomes the first player from Goa to be part of the emerging cricketers camp, also sparkled in U-25 one-dayers. He took four wickets against Punjab in the quarter-final.
Arjun Tendulkar, who played for Goa under the ‘Professional’ quota in the last BCCI domestic cricket season, has also been picked for the camp.
Goa Cricket Association on Friday, announced that it is thrilled about the two promising players from the Association, being selected by the All India Men’s Selection Committee for the Camp for Emerging Players.
