Founder President of Goa Technology Association, Mangirish Salelkar has emphasised that Goa’s IT endeavour is on right track after Goa’s technology ecosystem representative body got the opportunity to make itself heard at the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) meeting held on 15th July in Pune.
STPI’s consultation meeting in view of drafting the ‘National Information Technology Policy 2024’, has a huge significance and was chaired by Secretary for Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), S. Krishnan.
During this high-profile meeting, Salelkar highlighted current challenges faced by the Goan IT industry in relation to – Awareness and Ecosystem development, Availability of skilled manpower, Access to Market/ Government projects and Infrastructure development. His participation underscores the importance of Goa in the national IT landscape and highlights GTA’s commitment to driving technological innovation and growth in the state.
In his reaction to the national recognition, Salelkar said: “It’s a huge honour for a 7-year-old GTA to get a representation on the national stage! I am so happy to get this opportunity to speak on behalf of Goa IT Inc. Despite being India’s smallest IT ecosystem, we are moving in a positive direction, and our voice is being heard nationally.
