Goa State Innovation Council’s (GSInC) Rapid Prototyping Lab (RPL) has bagged the prestigious SKOCH recognition as semi-finalist of SKOCH Award 2023.

Rated as the highest civilian honour in the country conferred by an independent organisation, the SKOCH Order of Merit Certificate presented by SKOCH Group hails GSInC for excellence in technology that saw the Goa-based RPL achieve stunning result in the form of: Patents supported – 11; Prototypes Built – 57; Projects Mentored: 87; Workshops conducted at Rapid Prototyping Lab : 553; Total participants trained at Rapid Prototyping Lab: 8961; Workshops conducted by GSInC : 553; Total participants trained by GSInC: 42684.

Rapid Prototyping Lab at the Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda; is a state-of-the-art facility that provides a platform for innovators, entrepreneurs, and researchers to turn their ideas into tangible prototypes. Equipped with advanced machinery such as 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines, and electronics workstations, the lab offers a range of prototyping services to support the development of new products, services, and solutions. The lab is open to anyone with a creative idea and provides access to specialised equipment, tools, and expertise to help bring their concepts to life. The ultimate goal of the Rapid Prototyping Lab is to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in the state of Goa by providing a collaborative space for prototyping and testing new ideas.

The mission is to support prototyping and make it affordable for students, startups, innovators, research faculty & entrepreneurs who require the necessary support in converting Ideas into scalable products.
