GOA STATE SQUASH 2026: ABDUS SHAH & SAMAIRAH BHANDARE CROWNED CHAMPIONS

Abdus Samad Shah and Samairah Raj Bhandare emerged champions in the men’s and women’s categories respectively at the ‘Emeton Tech’ Goa State Squash Closed Tournament 2026 organised by Goa Association of Squash affiliated to Squash Rackets Federation of India (SRFI) at Sports Authority of Goa’s Squash courts at Chicalim-Vasco on Wednesday.

In the finale of the two-day championship today, 18-year-old Abdus got the better of top seed Kevin Albuquerque 11-6, 11-7, 11-9; while Samairah brushed off the challenge of Nimrit Pasricha 11-5, 11-8, 11-4.

In the boys U-15 final, Arpit Mahto beat a fighting Sufiyaan Hubli 13-11, 12-10, 11-13, 11-6; while Srishti Rajagopalan defeated Asrit Pasricha 11-7, 11-8, 11-7 to win the girls crown.

The U-11 boys category witnessed a pulsating title clash where Sarthak Dhyani overcame the challenge of Tanishq Kudalkar 11-6, 11-5, 11-6. Amirtha Kundave bagged the girls crown as she swept aside the challenge from Aarohee Maharana 11-0, 11-1, 11-0.

Amirtha is ranked nationally at 11th position in girls under-11 category in the SRFI rankings.
