PANAJI: Shikha Pandey will lead Goa Women’s Cricket Team at the upcoming BCCI Senior Women’s T20 Trophy to be held in Mohali.
Goa will open their campaign against Gujarat (18th April). They will clash with Uttarakhand on the following day. After a day’s gap, Goa will play their third match of the league against Vidarbha on 21st April. Uttar Pradesh will be the opponents on 22nd April while the last league match will be against Baroda on 24th April. The team will be leaving on April 15.
The women’s team has prepared for over a month in the probables camp held at GCA academy before playing practice matches amongst themselves. Coach Anant Tambavekar assisted by experienced Anuradha Redkar, monitored the progress of the girls on daily basis. The team is expected to do well in the T20 format, drawing confidence from their fighting display seen earlier in the BCCI event.
