PANAJI: “Mr. India should be confident and humble, because if you are confident you think positive in life and if you think positive, you become successful,” said Dr Gaurang Patkar when he was asked about the most important quality of ‘Mr. India’ at the Mission Dreams Mr. India 2021 Contest.
And with this answer, Dr Patkar clinched the runner-up title at the three-day ‘Mr. India 2021’ contest organised by Mission Dreams from December 19 to 21 in Mumbai.
The event started with the introduction round followed by grooming sessions. Gaurang played mouth organ for talent round and wore Goan ‘Dhangar’ costume in National Costume round. There were different sports activities to check the physical fitness followed by swimwear round. Over 1000 contestants participated from across the nation. Just 18 boys reached the final round and Gaurang, a resident of Curchorem-Goa was one of the finalists.
Dr Patkar is the Head of Computer Engineering Department at Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda-Goa.
