PANAJI: FMSCI Indian National Rally Championship title holder Vaibhav Marathe will begin the defence of his top status in the 2020-21 INRC season in Arunachal Pradesh where the high-voltage action begins on December 16 and runs for the first two rounds of the prestigious motorsports competition.
The INRC4 champion, who had Arjun SSB as the co-driver last season, has new company this time around with Suhan MK from Virajpet-Coorg being the navigator in the new set up – Team Yokohama. The Japanese tyre company is expected to make its presence felt in the rallying circuit this season with a strong team that includes Goa’s most decorated rally driver Vaibhav, who will be driving a Honda City in INRC3 category.
The INRC action will then shift from NorthEast India to South India for the third round to be held in Coimbatore, TN before the final in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
