GOA’S YOUNG PACER LAKSHAY GARG DETERMINED TO SUCCEED AS IPL OPPORTUNITIES RISE, SETS YO-YO TEST RECORD

PANAJI: Lakshay Garg is one of the young guns yet has a big responsibility on his strong shoulders as the Goa cricket team, settles into a bio-bubble in Indore for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 competition. The 25-year-old pacer and a capable batsman, is looking forward to a successful season-opening outing as he believes that the team has undergone a holistic pre-season training in order to give their best output. Moreover, with two more teams set to be included in the IPL; youngsters including Lakshay have extra motivation in this season’s Indian domestic cricket.

Meanwhile,  Goa coach Dodda Ganesh and Strength & Conditioning coach Arjun Basu highlighted Lakshay’s record-setting (19.7) effort among others, in Yo-Yo test as the high levels of fitness gained by the premier state team; is set to establish a new benchmark for cricketers in Goa.
