GOVERNOR PUSAPATI ASHOK GAJAPATHI RAJU VISITS INS HANSA

Governor Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju, along with the First Lady of Goa, Suneela Raju visited INS Hansa, the premier Naval Air Station of the Indian Navy. They were received by Rear Admiral Ajay Theophilus, Flag Officer Goa Area (FOGA), along with senior officers of the Naval establishment, and were accorded a ceremonial welcome on arrival.

During the visit, the Governor and the First Lady were briefed on the operational capabilities, strategic significance, and key functions of INS Hansa in supporting Naval aviation activities along the western seaboard. The presentation highlighted the station’s critical role in maritime security, coastal surveillance, and humanitarian assistance operations.

The Governor and the First Lady witnessed various operating Naval aircraft, observing live flight movements and gaining insight into aviation procedures, aircrew coordination, and operational safety. They appreciated the skill, professionalism, and precision displayed by the Naval aviators.

The Governor and Suneela Raju interacted with officers, aircrew, and personnel of INS Hansa, commending their dedication, discipline, and contribution to the nation’s maritime defence. They also acknowledged the advanced infrastructure and high standards of preparedness maintained at the base.

As part of the visit, they toured key operational facilities including aircraft hangars, air traffic control systems, and training units, receiving detailed briefings from Naval officers.
