Goycar lifted the inaugural Junior Premier Badminton League title, edging past Radiant Sports Club 105-104 in a thrilling final at the Multipurpose Stadium, Fatorda. In the round robin league team format played across two groups, both Goycar and Radiant Sports Club topped their respective groups with three wins each to qualify for the final.
In a nail-biting summit clash featuring seven doubles matches, Goycar won four games and accumulated 105 points, while Radiant Sports Club fell agonisingly short with 104 points in an edge-of-the-seat finish.
Antruz Warriors, Salcete Badminton Club and Margao Shuttlers finished second, third and fourth respectively in Group A, while Margao High Flyers, Sports O and Panjim Smash Squad occupied the next three positions in Group B.
