Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB), a leading FMCG company in India, reinforced its commitment to community development through its flagship CSR programme, Project SHINE. Transport Minister and local MLA Mauvin Godinho inaugurated these initiatives at a special event held in Chicalim.

By targeting self-help groups (SHG) at the grassroots level, HCCB ensures that its support makes a tangible difference in the lives of underprivileged women by equipping 50 SHGs with industrial-grade sewing machines.

Likewise, HCCB installed digital smartboards in educational institutions, including Government Primary School, Keri; Government Primary School, Charavne; and Keshav Smruti High School.

In alignment with its commitment to clean energy and sustainable infrastructure, HCCB has installed solar-powered technology as well as RO water filtration units at the Wealth Out of Waste (WooW) Management Plant and Joggers Park at Chicalim Dabolim, to ensure residents have access to safe and purified drinking water.

At the event, Godinho said: “I commend HCCB for their strong commitment to community development. By investing in digital smartboards, clean drinking water initiatives, and skill training programmes, HCCB is making a real difference in people’s lives. Their efforts align with our government’s vision for a prosperous Goa and demonstrate the positive impact that can be achieved through effective public-private partnerships.”

Himanshu Priyadarshi, Chief Public Affairs, Communications, and Sustainability Officer, at HCCB, added: “We are committed to investing in the communities we serve and believe that by supporting their development, we can help create empowered communities and contribute to a brighter future for all. We appreciate the support of the government and look forward to continuing our collaborative efforts.”
