Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant hailed the CSR initiative of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) after the public sector petroleum giants provided Goa with its first integrated hospital -Ayurvedic & Allopathic with a capacity of 50 beds, at the investment of Rs.10.36 Crore, in Bicholim.
“It gives me pleasure to witness the handing over the Deendayal Health Care Hospital Building to Deendayal Janaseva Pratishthan built under Indian Oil Corp Ltd. CSR initiative and Arogyam. I wholeheartedly thank IOCL for making significant contribution to healthcare sector. I congratulate Deendayal Co Op Society Trust for entering Healthcare sector. It will serve families below poverty line reserving 10% of its services,” stated the Chief Minister.
Dr Sawant emphasised that this hospital will cater primarily to the residents of Bicholim and Sattari, while visitors from neighbouring state of Maharashtra and the tourists will also benefit from this healthcare facility.
The Chief Minister also assured full support to IOCL for setting up of green energy projects in Goa.
