Joshua Mark Telles and Skyla Rodrigues topped the State U-11 in Open & Girls Chess Championship respectively. The tournament was organised by Tiswadi Taluka Chess Association under the aegis of Goa Chess Association and Mahalaxmi Vachan Mandir.
Joshua Telles scored 6 points out of 7 rounds. Skyla Rodrigues collected 6 out of 6 rounds.
The second place in the open category, went to Rajveer Patil. Saras Powar finished third. Other prize-winners from 4th to 10th in the Open Category are as follows Erwin Albuquerque, Aaryavrat Naik Desai, Vihaan Tari, Abhir Prabhu, Rishit Gawas, Aditya Ghadge, Shubh Borkar.
In the girls category, Rochel Rodrigues finished second while Diya Sawal was third.
Other prize-winners from 4th to 10th positions are Vidhi Naik, Lyia Silveira, Diya Naik, Avani Sawaikar, Shreyashi Fal Dessai, Jensina Sequeira, Muriel Fernandes.
Category prize winners in U7, U9 (Open) are Shaurya Agrasani, Ekang Malvankar, Prayank Gaonkar, Evan Telles, Ethan Silveira.
In girls category in U7 & U9, the prize winners are Sanvi Redkar, Shinel Rodrigues, Shanaya Desai, Drisha Ghonge and Ishwari Raut.
Mahesh Candolkar , President of Goa Chess Association, Satyawan Harmalkar , Dattaram Pinge, Arvind Mhamal, Atish Angle, Naresh Pednekar, Sandesh Amonkar, and other office bearers of TTCA graced the prize distribution ceremony.
