‘KalaGurujan 2025’ forms a confluence of teaching and Goa’s culture and at the same time an opportunity to re-live the days when teachers were students of Higher Secondary Schools, emphasised Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant.
The Chief Minister inaugurated KalaGurujan 2025 where over 800 teachers from 40 Higher Secondary Schools, came together to celebrate the art and cultural ethos of our state of Goa. The event organised by the Higher Secondary Teachers Association of Goa (HISTAG), is also about promotion of talent and holistic development. While also acknowledging reforms that are need of the hour, the Chief Minister accepted the request for providing medical leave facility for terminal illnesses in the teaching fraternity. He also assured to look into the subject of pay scale.

“KalaGurujan 2025′ is an unique confluence of Goa’s teaching fraternity and its rich cultural spirit; breathing life into our shared heritage through art, performance, and passion. This initiative beautifully aligns with the New Education Policy, blending tradition with transformation. Let this become a shining annual tradition that shapes holistic, value-driven citizens for Goa’s future,” asserted Dr Sawant, who also urged the teachers to put more attention towards guiding students and playing a role in Viksit Bharat 2047 goal.
