MUKHYAMANTRI ANNAPURNA YOJANA, SWAYAMPURNA GOA PORTAL LAUNCHED; CM DR PRAMOD SAWANT LAUDS SWAYAMPURNA  MITRAS FOR PROGRAMME’S SUCCESS

Government of Goa’s ‘Swayampurna Goa’ initiative has added more avenues to benefit the local producers and self-help groups (SHGs), in the form of E-Bazaar and ‘Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana’.

‘Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana’ aims to provide livelihood opportunities for women SHGs. The scheme offers a platform for women entrepreneurs to operate canteens and catering services in Government and Semi-Government Institutions.

“I encourage Women SHGs certified by NRLM and NULM to avail the opportunity and become Swayampurna,” stated the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, who interacted with Swayampurna Mitras, Taluka Nodal Officers on the occasion of successful Completion of three years of ‘Swayampurna Goa’ campaign.

Dr Sawant also released the Time-Line Document on ‘Swayampurna Goa’ programme and the ‘Swayampurna Goa’ Portal on the occasion.

“It is heartening to witness the success of the programme and various initiatives at the village level ideated and implemented by Swayampurna Mitras, Sarpanch, Panch members and people for making the people of the village Swayampurna, and contributing to the mission,” added the CM.

Social Worker, Gautam Kharangate; Head of CSC Goa, Dhaval Jadhav; and 13 CSC Mangers in Goa, were presented certificates.

“I congratulate all the Swayampurna Mitras, Taluka Nodal Officers, and people for enthusiastic participation, making the Swayampurna Goa successful,” said Dr Sawant.

Meanwhile, the proposed Swayampurna E-Bazaar is swiftly reaching the point of implementation and is set to start around Dussehra, informed the Chief Minister. The registered vendors are being trained on aspects like pricing and packaging, he added.

Dr Sawant also announced the start of recently launched nation-wide scheme ‘Prime Minister Vishwakarma’ in Goa.

PM Vishwakarma scheme is applicable for 18 traditional artisans like carpenter, potter and so on to add more expertise to the skilled human resource.

“They will be identified and given ID card. These traditional artisans will be provided training for five days across each taluka. They will be then handed a toolkit worth Rs 15,000 free of cost. Following that, they will be given a loan of Rs 1 lakh with less rate of interest without any collateral security,” explained Dr Sawant, as he urged the traditional skilled community to get in touch with Swayampurna Mitras or at their nearest Common Service Centres. The deadline for completion of registration and training is set for 20th November.

Dr Sawant also appealed to the Village Panchayats to seek various types of trainings to empower human resource in their jurisdiction. He emphasised the continual focus on skilling, reskilling and upskilling.
