Mohammad Nadaf, Ruhi Gad, Gauravi Dessai, Vansh Natekar, Siddharth Hazra, Netra Jogdand, Viaan Redkar, Rushank Kulkarni, Prajesh Gawas, Jewel Abranches and Niharika Dogra were the day’s standout champions as the North Goa District Badminton Tournament 2025, organised by the North Goa District Badminton Association in aegis with the Goa Badminton Association and the Sports Authority of Goa, staged a day of high-quality singles action.
In the junior categories, the finals produced superb encounters: BS U11 — Viaan Redkar defeated Anav Kannekar 15–14, 15–6; GS U11 — Gauravi Dessai defeated Dakshita Bandyopadhyay 15–1, 15–2; BS U13 — Rushank Kulkarni defeated Saksham Mhapuskar 15–11, 14–15, 15–10; GS U13 — Gauravi Dessai defeated Pihoo Redkar 15–13, 15–8; BS U15 — Prajesh Gawas defeated Samuel Gonsalves 10–15, 15–10, 15–9; GS U15 — Niharika Baljit defeated Sanvi Shirodkar 14–15, 15–13, 15–13.
The higher-age and senior finals were equally engrossing: BS U17 — Vansh Natekar defeated Aloisius Rodrigues 15–10, 9–15, 15–11; GS U17 — Jewel Abranches defeated Ananya Kannekar 15–8, 15–10; BS U19 — Siddharth Hazra defeated Vansh Natekar 14–15, 15–8, 15–10; GS U19 — Netra Jogdand defeated Jewel Abranches 15–10, 7–15, 15–12. In the senior marquee finals, Men’s Singles saw Mohammad Nadaf rally to beat Abhishek Swami 9–15, 15–12, 15–13, while Women’s Singles concluded with Ruhi Gad overpowering Supriya Pai Kuchelkar 15–5, 15–7.
