PANAJI: One of the oldest and premier sports clubs in Goa, Panjim Gymkhana is set to host the first edition of Panjim Gymkhana Members’ League (PGML), a one-of-a-kind fun T20 tournament that kicks off on 7th January 2022. In all, five teams will battle for supremacy in the league, which will be played in a round-robin format.
The inaugural match will see Manas Mavericks take on Baale Tigers in the morning. That will be followed by Dempo Challengers clash with Prescon Panthers in the post-lunch session.
LPK 11 will meet Prescon Panthers in the first half while Manas Mavericks will clash with Dempo Challengers in the latter half of the day, on 8th January.
The matches are scheduled to be held over the weekend. After the first weekend action, the unique event resumes on 23rd January with Dempo Challengers meeting Baale Tigers in the first half of the day and Manas Mavericks taking on LPK 11 in the second half. The Republic Day will witness Baale Tigers going head-to-head with Prescon Panthers while LPK11 and Dempo Challengers also head into a faceoff. 29th January will witness teams’ clash to win a position in the qualifying stage.
The Qualifying matches are scheduled on 30th January and 5th February before the grand finale on 6th February 2022 where the titans will clash to win the coveted Panjim Gymkhana Members League T20 title.
