PANAJI: Khorlim XI got the better of Bicholim CC with a four-wicket victory to enter the semi-finals of Bandodkar Trophy cricket tournament at PG ground, Campal here today.
Khorlim XI won the toss and elected to field. Bicholim CC posted a challenging total of 243 runs as they were bowled out in 45 overs. Prajyot Rivankar top-scored with 66 runs, while Siddesh Arora made 47 runs. Tausef Jamadar (33), Alam Khan (28), Sarvesh Hoble (19) and Saif Ali (10); all helped the Bicholim register a good total.
For Khorlim XI; Sahil Dhuri, Kashinath Chari, Yogesh Khuthankar and Achit Shigwan took two wickets each.
In their chase, Khorlim XI powered through to victory in 44.1 overs. Soham Panvelkar (85) and Deepanshu Sharma (54) came up with a good show with the bat as they formed the spine of the team’s reply. Achit Shigwan (37), Rahul Keni (26) and Sahil Dhuri (15 Not Out) ensured Khorlim XI romped to 244/6 with four wickets in hand. Bicholim’s Basavraj and Abhijit Talekar took two wickets apiece.
