Government of Goa’s Directorate of Art & Culture celebrated the 12th anniversary of ‘Prayog Saanj’ with renowned actor, director and writer Abhiram Bhadkamkar delivering an enlightening talk on the ‘Process of script-writing to theatre performance ‘. Abhivyaktee Panaji staged their brilliant play ‘Agyaat Katha’ to round off the special evening in Panaji on Saturday.
Stepping into its 13th year, the ‘Prayog Saanj’ initiative provides a platform to the theatre fraternity of Goa to nurture and preserve the traditional art with the last Saturday of every month being allocated with the multipurpose hall at the Sanskruti Bhavan, to stage a play.
Various directors, who brought their creation to the stage over the last 12 years, were felicitated on the occasion. They were also treated to a great talk on the nuances of theatre art – especially the tussle between writer and director, director and actor; in the challenging journey of expressing the creation as in a team work while translating the thought process of the writer into the final output masterminded by the director.
