PANAJI: A talent hunt for upcoming women’s doubles badminton players has been announced with ‘Red Bull Shuttle Up’ providing the winners a chance to play Ashwini Ponnappa – one of India’s best doubles badminton players of all time – and a partner of her choosing.
The event has been billed as ‘India’s first-ever exclusive women’s doubles badminton tournament.’
“The 2021 edition will be conducted in five cities around the country, followed by a national final. The Qualifier venues/dates are: Hyderabad: 28th August at Seven Star Badminton Academy, Hyderguda; Chandigarh: 4th September at Badminton Courts, Sector-38 (West); Guwahati: 18th September at Cotton University; Mumbai: 24th September at Khar Gymkhana, Khar West; Delhi: 26th September at Thyagaraj Sports Complex.
