As the adrenaline-pumping Rainforest Challenge (RFC) India 2025 unfolds in the rugged terrains of Goa, the Department of Tourism, Government of Goa, reiterates its commitment to promoting adventure tourism in the state. The ongoing event, which began on July 28, 2025 and will continue till August 3, 2025, has drawn national attention with over 77 off-roading teams participating across three categories—‘4×4 Extreme’, ‘4×4 Modified’, and ‘4×4 Stock’—positioning Goa as a premier destination for thrill-seekers and motorsport enthusiasts.

Now in its 11th edition, RFC India is one of the toughest and most respected off-road motorsport competitions in the country. The event not only tests the mettle of both man and machine but also showcases Goa’s diverse natural terrain making it an ideal setting for such high-endurance challenges.

Director of Tourism, Government of Goa, Kedar Naik stated: “Goa is more than just sun and sand. Through events like RFC India, we are actively redefining the state’s tourism identity by encouraging niche experiences such as off-roading, trekking, cycling, and forest-based adventures. These initiatives align with our vision to develop Goa as a hub for adventure and nature-based tourism, thereby drawing a new segment of responsible and experience-driven travellers.”

The RFC has also brought a large number of off-road enthusiasts and supporters to Goa, boosting the local economy and bringing visibility to the hinterlands, particularly the Quepem taluka, which serves as the base for this year’s competition.

With participation from across India, RFC India 2025 continues to highlight Goa’s potential for hosting world-class adventure tourism events. The Department of Tourism remains committed to supporting such initiatives that promote sustainability, inclusivity, and immersive travel experiences beyond the conventional.
