The Assonora Bypass project at a projected cost of Rs 130 Crore, will be enhancing connectivity in the region once complete. While the work is in progress, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant took stock of the situation as he paid an inspection visit.
Fisheries & Animal Husbandry Minister Nilkant Halarnkar, Principal Chief Engineer of PWD, Uttam Parsekar were also present among others.
The Chief Minister directed the PWD to engage with local farmers and villagers, address their concerns regarding rainwater drainage, implement measures to prevent water from entering homes and fields due to the elevated road level, and ensure provision of adequate parking space for devotees visiting the Devi Shri Lairai temple.
“The Government of Goa remains committed to inclusive development—resolving local concerns while enhancing commuting convenience and reducing travel time in the region,” emphasised Dr Sawant.
