PANAJI: The second edition of Sanquelim Badminton League, organised by Sanquelim Shuttlers in collaboration with Goa Badminton Association; begins today. The 3-day tournament will witness 110 players in action with 10 teams battling it out for the championship title at Sanquelim Indoor stadium.
The league will kick-off with a glittering opening ceremony in presence of Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant.
The teams in the fray are: PSP Warriors, Peacock Smashers, La Tara Smashers, AG Thrashers, Crystal Badminators, Chaitanya Smashers, Genius Fighters, MLT , Overlockedd Droppers, Shubhadra Strikers.
Apart from upcoming and seasoned shuttlers, categories for below-40 men’s, above-40 men’s and women’s players, will also be included in the mega badminton event.

After the massive success of the maiden edition of the league last year, our endeavor is to further uplift this platform to expand our reach and nurture more and more talents in badminton. “

We are committed to reach to every corner of the state to discover and nurture the talents in badminton with larger goal of taking Goan badminton to greater heights.”
