The ‘Blood Bank’ at Goa Medical College and Hospital, has undergone significant upgrades with the addition of advanced equipments including an Automatic Blood Cell Collection Monitor (BCM), Cryofuge, Snap Freezer, and Deep Freezers. These enhancements aim to improve efficiency, ensure better blood preservation, and enhance overall patient care.
Moreover, the blood collection and transportation facilities across the state are also showing remarkable efficiency. “The specially-equipped blood transportation cum collection vans in Goa play a crucial role in reaching out to rural areas across the state, enabling us to conduct more blood donation camps. As we continue to prioritize the welfare of our people, these cutting-edge vans will undoubtedly play a key role in saving lives, instilling a sense of security, and promoting a healthier, more resilient society in Goa,” stated Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on X.
The Health Minister also added that two blood transportation cum collection vans have been allocated to the District Hospitals of North and South Goa.
“With combined efforts, we can create a strong network of blood donors, ensuring that our state remains prepared to address any exigency with utmost efficiency and compassion,” further posted Rane on the social media platform.
