North Goa District Collector and District Election Officer Ankit Yadav, IAS, visited various parts of Panaji Constituency to monitor the ongoing distribution of enumeration forms under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026.
Yadav interacted with the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and instructed them to ensure timely completion of the distribution process of the enumeration forms.
Meanwhile in a press note issued by the Office of Chief Electoral Officer, Panaji; it has been informed thatatotal of 3,98,820 Enumeration Forms have been distributed till 4.00pm on Wednesday.
The SIR is a comprehensive electoral roll update process initiated by the Election Commission of India (ECI) to ensure accurate and transparent voter registration. In Goa, through the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) as of now i.e. 05/11/2025 till 04:00 pm, total 33.65 percent Enumeration Forms i.e. 3,98,820 of the total 11,85,034 electors have been distributed. The BLO shall be visiting every atleast three times during this exercise.
Besides, 1462 Booth Level Agents (BLAs) appointed by various political parties are also providing active support in the SIR process. The primary goal is to include all eligible voters and remove ineligible or duplicate entries from the electoral rolls.
As per SIR, in order to get one’s name included in the Draft Electoral Roll to be published on 09/12/2025, an elector has to sign and submit the filled copy of the Enumeration Form before 04/12/2025. SIR will ensure that all eligible persons will be included.
Verification will start vigorously from 09/12/2025 onwards after publication of Draft Electoral Rolls. On the basis of the published Draft of Electoral Rolls, Claims and Objections will be received from 09/12/2025 onwards. The final Electoral Rolls will be published on 07/02/2026. Appeals can be filed with the DM and thereafter with the CEO, states the press communique.
