India Energy Week (IEW) 2026, the first major global energy conclave of the year, is returning to Goa from 27–30 January 2026 for its fourth edition, building on the strong momentum and international stature established by its first three highly successful editions.
At the core of IEW 2026 is the Strategic Conference, which is structured around ten carefully defined strategic themes that together provide a comprehensive framework for addressing the complex challenges shaping the global energy ecosystem.
Reflecting both global priorities and India’s evolving leadership role, these themes are designed to guide policymakers, industry leaders and innovators as they navigate the next phase of energy evolution. The Strategic Conference’s themes and formats are designed to maximise insight from the most prominent voices across the global energy ecosystem.
One of the crucial themes of IEW 2026 Strategic Conference is Energy Collaboration. IEW 2026 recognises the importance of international cooperation across policy, finance, technology and trade to secure diversified supply chains and enable inclusive, affordable energy access.
New for IEW 2026, Energy Addition theme will highlight the need for multiple, complementary energy pathways that promote energy realism while building a balanced and resilient future energy mix.
Energy Equity theme, also introduced this year, addresses the global energy access challenge, focusing on people-centred transition models that improve health, education and economic opportunity while reducing inequality.
The conference also examines the theme of Energy Digital Frontiers, exploring how the convergence of energy systems and digital innovation is reshaping operations while enhancing supply-demand management and accelerating the integration of renewables and alternative fuels.
Energy Resilience theme focuses on building future-proof energy systems that can anticipate, withstand and recover from disruptions, while the Energy Transition theme addresses the policy, financial and technological wherewithal required to establish viable green economies and low-carbon societies.
Innovation remains a central pillar with the Energy Innovation theme, which explores the development and deployment of next-generation clean technologies and digital efficiency breakthroughs. The Energy Investment theme, another new addition for 2026, focuses on mobilising global capital to fund the energy transition, modernise infrastructure and close the climate technology investment gap.
Recognising that systems are only as strong as the people who operate them, The Energy Workforce theme will highlight the importance of talent development, skills transformation and leadership readiness for future energy systems. Finally, the Energy Leadership theme will underscore India’s expanding role in global energy diplomacy and its emergence as a key transition partner for the Global South.
To translate these themes into meaningful dialogue, the Strategic Conference would be conducted through a set of carefully curated engagement formats. Ministerial Sessions will bring together energy ministers and senior policymakers to discuss global energy markets, energy security, net-zero ambitions and the evolving international energy landscape.
Leadership Panels is designed to convene global industry leaders and experts to examine pathways for a just and orderly energy transformation while meeting rapidly growing energy demand.
Leadership Spotlight Sessions will focus on India’s energy leadership journey, highlighting infrastructure development, climate technology ecosystems and market-scale opportunities.
Energy Talks will provide focused, one-on-one conversations between senior global energy leaders and experienced moderators, offering deeper insight into strategic priorities and decision-making.
