President of IMA Bicholim, Dr. Shekhar Salkar submitted the latest ‘Swasth Police, Sasakhth Police’ wellness report to DGP Goa, Alok Kumar; in the presence of Inspector General of Police, Keshav Ram Chaurasia, IPS Jones Samuel, PRO of Vianaar and Dr. Devdutt Sail, Secretary of TSI Goa.
The key highlights of the report:
•14 police stations equipped with health screening kiosks
•Over 1200 police personnel screened; prevalence of hypertension, obesity and prediabetes found in some of the personnel
•A well-defined and targeted lifestyle modification and nutrition program to be run to improve physical health of police personnel of North Goa district
The initiative jointly led by Goa Police, TSI Goa, IMA Bicholim & Vianaar; is a pioneering step towards creating a healthier and stronger police force.
