PANAJI: Uday Prabhudesai’s ‘Jaidatta Agro-Farm’ is a glowing example of how dedication has enabled the farming enterprise go from strength to strength over the last decade. Without depending on the authorities for help, Prabhudesai has taken a pioneering lead towards realising the vision of ‘Swayampurna Goa.’
Prabhudesai family loves it’s land and puts its heart and soul into churning out nutritious produce, over the 25-acre farm at Bhaidwada-Korgao.
Jaidatta Agro-farm cultivates fruits, vegetables; has a poultry unit, organic fertilizer (vermicompost) culture among others and now adding another feather to its cap is the unique ‘Organic Jaggery’ plant.
“Jaggery produced at Jaidatta Agro-Farm is the only fully or double organic product. There are some other makers in Goa who have organic processing of jaggery, but their sugarcane crop is not organic,” pointed out Uday, Govt of Goa’s Krishi Vibhushan 2019, while speaking to ‘Live News Goa’.
