Government of Goa’s state-of-the-art Forensic Science Laboratory at Verna, South Goa; is set to strengthen investigation of crime and prosecution of the criminals.
The Forensic Lab is equipped with divisions such as biology, chemistry, toxicology, narcotics, ballistics, computer forensics and DNA Fingerprinting. The Forensic Lab examines case exhibits across various divisions and issues examination reports within stipulated time.
Moreover, to collect necessary evidence from the scene of the crime, the scientists use the District Mobile Forensic Van to reach the spot after being called by the Investigating Officer.
