Wesley Do Rosario’s much-awaited return to Goa, alongside a new generation of emerging stars including Chandan Caro, Aaron Farias, Ishita Colaso and Yug Prabhu, is set to headline the Ulhas Jewellers Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2026, one of the most prestigious events on the Goa Table Tennis Association (GTTA) calendar. Organised by BPS Sports Club under the aegis of Goa Table Tennis Association and powered by Ulhas Jewellers, the tournament will be held at the Multipurpose Stadium, Fatorda, from July 30 to August 5, with matches commencing daily from 3:00 pm.
The championship will feature competitions across 12 categories, including Under-9, Under-11, Under-13, Under-15 and Under-19 for boys and girls, besides the Senior Men’s and Senior Women’s events, bringing together Goa’s finest paddlers in a week-long showcase of talent and competition.
GTTA President Sudin Verenkar praised BPS Sports Club for its sustained contribution to the sport, describing it as one of Goa’s most active sports clubs and commending its efforts in successfully organising the prestigious ranking tournament year after year.
Speaking about the event, Vikram Verlekar, Vice President of the Goa Table Tennis Association and event promoter, said, “With marquee events like Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) and the World Table Tennis Star Contender coming to Goa and showcasing the country’s and world’s leading players, there has been tremendous interest and enthusiasm generated for table tennis. Grassroots initiatives are vital in nurturing young talent and will further accelerate the growth and development of the sport in Goa.”
The tournament will attract a strong field of competitors from across the state and promises high-quality action throughout the seven-day championship.
