PANAJI: Goa’s Manaswi Das & Yashica Chevli bagged a silver medal at the 4th Khelo India Youth Games 2021 in progress at Panchkula-Haryana.
The girls’ duo collected 126 points in Rhythmic Yogasana pair event to open Goa’s medal account on Day 2 of the national youth sports extravaganza.
Yogasana Sport competition has been introduced in the KIYG for the first time in the ‘indigenous sports’ category. Maharashtra won the gold medal with 131 points and Karnataka won the bronze medal with 118 points.
Meanwhile in football, Goa held Punjab to a 1-1 draw, at the Punjab University Football Ground. Goa’s point came via the equaliser netted by Valpoi-lad Vithoba Dharne.
